Workshop. Azure Functions and SQL Serverless deep dive.

Welcome to the third workshop of our user group!


During this workshop/lab, we will build a serverless application with Azure Functions and SQL serverless, secure it with Azure API management, and properly implement retry, proxy, and load leveling patterns. We will also fine-tune our application so it can adequately handle edge cases. The user group will provide Azure resources. We will send additional materials via email before the workshop.

  • Experience with C#.
  • Visual Studio or VS Code.
  • GitHub account (so we can connect you to the sample repository).

Sixty-second meeting of Microsoft .NET User Group Odesa

Serverless in 2021 is much more than stateless APIs, and it's about stateful event-driven workloads, long-running operations, databases(including CosmosDB), and even about on-premises Kubernetes cluster :). I will share great real-life scenarios from myself and the community and discuss what's next.

Patterns, patterns they're everywhere. We are structuring our solutions around them, being asked about them in interviews and see them in real life. 

This time we will talk about cloud architecture patterns like Valet Key, Load Levelling, Strangler, Gateway Aggregation/Routing, etc. And how they work in real life.

Workshop. Breaking monolith into microservices

Welcome to the second workshop of our user group! 

During this workshop/lab, we will gradually split our application into two separate services. Discuss the issues and problems along with the ways to solve them. How to plan the migration, break the process into smaller steps, and why sometimes a monolith is a way forward.
